Kate Peed!

Yep, you read it correctly. Kate went pee today. In the toilet. and completely not planned. I was getting into the shower and she wanted to come too, so I made her sit on her potty while I went. All of a sudden she starts smiling and saying pe, pe, pe (short E sound). I didn't understand, but then when she got up, I saw the toilet was yellow inside. She was sooo proud of herself! She even got to wipe herself. No, I am not going to start potty training her, but if she wants to use it, I will let her.

These clouds are from last week. Isn't it crazy how they are almost the same shape as the mountains? I love the sky here! The monsoon season is one of my two favorite "seasons" here. The other is ALL winter--November thru April--as long as you can erase all snowbirds on the roads! (As long as you stay away from shopping and restaurants, you should be ok.)

A little birthday smile

It wouldn't be a happy birthday without a little of the birthday suit peeking out... doesn't he have such a cute smile? I guess he couldn't help it, since his swimsuit is a size too big!

This is a picture of my nephew at the family reunion we had last weekend. He was standing next to a gas oven that "exploded". The oven was on, but not lit. So, when the gas finally pooled enough, it ignited. Yes, even his eyelashes are singed! Poor Guy. He was very brave, though! Thankfully no one was seriously hurt!
