So, I have a huge sinus
infection. I've had it for a couple weeks now. It has been horrible. I hate
doctors, so I still haven't made an appointment and probably never will. Last
night I hurt so bad that I skipped dinner and took a hot bath followed by a
burning hot shower. I've heard the steam is good for your sinuses. Afterwards,
I took a tylenol and went about my business as a mother and went grocery
shopping with the help of the whole family.
Ryan got up early so he could answer the door when Andrew came over at 7am and
then put him down for his nap. I woke up at 9:30 and all the kids except Jayke
were still asleep. Jayke had started to clean off the table (my clean dishes
were still sitting there since last night) and got everyone bowls and poured
cereal for everyone. He brought me my plate and asked if it was still clean and
I told him yes. Then he goes on to tell me, "You know, Mom, that is one of
the worst things you can do when you're sick-skipping dinner. Your body needs
the energy to help you get better." I told him that I knew and it probably
wasn't a good idea for me to skip dinner. Then he continues, "I know that
b/c you told me that before when I was sick."
Oh, aren't they so cute. They really ARE listening, even when they act as
though they're not. Jayke is such a big helper for me and is always reminding
me of what I need to do. He is so responsible for his young age! He's going to
grow up to be a worrier like his mother.
