Ever feel like...

God is REALLY watching out for you? I wrote earlier that our jeep just broke down. Well, it wasn't completely down, just down enough so we didn't feel comfortable driving it. Ryan, for some reason, decided to drive it to his friend's house last night to change out some tires/wheels for his Volkswagen project. It was giving him problems all the way there. Everything seemed to be going wrong, not just one thing. He made it to his friend's neighborhood and right as he was turning the corner to the guy's street, the jeep died. He lives right on the corner, so Ryan just coasted into his driveway. He tried starting it, but was unsuccessful after several tries. He decided to just leave it until later, so he went and got started on changing the wheels/tires. When they finished for the night, the two of them pushed the jeep closer to the garage so they would have some light (11pm). His friend pulls out some tools and just starts checking everywhere. They plugged his code reader in and it turned on, without being in the "on" position and when they turned it "on", it turned off. They checked a few more things and discovered that half of the wiring was not grounded. They searched over the entire jeep and finally found it. There was a group of wires that were supposed to be bolted to the engine and they had come loose. They reconnected them and everything worked perfect.

Why I know God was watching out for us:
*Ryan had just driven the jeep to school that morning b/c I had a home school group and Dr. appt. (he was able to get to school on time)
*Ryan switched vehicles with me after school and took the kids home so they didn't have to sit through the Dr. appt with me: I drove the jeep home. (jeep did not die on me)
*The jeep died close enough for Ryan to coast into the driveway, without having to walk a long way.
*Ryan was at his friend's house when the jeep died. Yeah, the one that has the hot rod shop. Who else would have had the knowledge and experience to help fix it?
*We did not have to have the jeep towed to a shop and pay a TON of money that we didn't have to fix a simple problem.
*All it cost us was an hour of Ryan and his friend's time, and we owe him and his wife dinner.

I don't even want to know what would have happened if the events had unfolded in any other way! I just have to thank Heavenly Father for watching out for us and helping us! He REALLY does know each of us and is aware of everything that we are in need of. Do you ever have that feeling of complete and overwhelming indebtedness? It's a wonderful feeling especially when we know He does not charge us interest, just expects us to do our best.
