Got some good new from the doc...

So, when E was 1yr old, I had some blood work done. My cholesterol came back with low good cholesterol: 34 and high bad cholesterol: about 180? can't remember exact number. We went off eggs (b/c of E) and stopped trans fat (b/c they're horrible). Anyway we just had a recheck this past week. My bad cholesterol came back 148 (below normal of 150) and my good cholesterol came back 47 (right at normal between 40-50). All the reading that I have done this past week about cholesterol and raising your good cholesterol wasn't very hopeful. They said if you can raise your good cholesterol by 4 points you're doing INCREDIBLE! I thought since I was so low (really 16 points below ideal for women) that I would have no choice but to take meds for it. I was really ecstatic when the Dr. said there was NO problem with my cholesterol now. HOORAY! I tribute all of my "heart health" to no eggs or trans fat and for adding oats to everything I can. (and for not eating out very much) So, now I can say I have a clean bill of health. Phew! All I need to do now is get a little more exercise and get back into shape. Now that the weather is starting to cool down, we can actually go outside! If anyone has tips on how to get and stay fit with 4 kids (3 of mine and my nephew) in tow using a double stroller and NO money I would LOVE the help! One thing I can't handle, though, is using exercise videos, yuck! I'd rather die than use them!
