A tree!

Our tree in our front yard blew over 2+ years ago when we were hit pretty hard with a micro burst (very common in our neighborhood). We have had a bare yard ever since. After getting grass planted in our front yard again, I decided that I need to work on our back yard. I decided that I would start with a tree, so we were saving up the $20 so we could buy one from Home Depot. Anyway, one of our customers told Ryan about a Nursery in Queen Creek that was going out of business, so he stopped by after school one day. All of the 5 gallon shrubs were $5 and the 5 gallon trees were $10. I gave permission to spend money we did not have and 1/2 hour later I had a tree and 2 hibiscus plants in my back yard. Since our yard is so yucky, or should I say solid granite, I dug a HUGE hole to plant the tree in. We filled it in with plenty of mulch mixed in with the dirt/rock and now we have a teeny tiny tree. I told the kids that the plants were poisonous so they wouldn't touch it...such a mean mom! Someday, I'll put in sprinklers and plant grass so that the kids stop pouring dirt in each others' hair!
