Heavenly Father watches out for us, again!!!

Today we were going to have a celebration for my grandma's birthday. We were planning a bbq and then just going to hang out and talk until the end of the evening. Ryan had to work, so we were going to be a little late. We decided to eat at our house before we left, just for E's safety. My mom also suggested that we not have the foods that E is severely allergic to at the party, such as eggs, nuts, peanuts, and beans. This way, it would actually be somewhat safe for him to be there and we might get to enjoy being there. Everything was going on schedule and we were heading out to the party. Two miles from our house, our van breaks down. It was our harmonic balancer. There was no way for us to get it fixed in a reasonable amount of time. We would have to fore go the party. We were pretty disappointed, but we always know that everything happens for a reason. God IS in control. I told Ryan that maybe something would have happened at the party and this is just God's way of helping us prevent what would have happened. We called Ryan's friend to come tow us home and we ended up having ice cream and a movie with the kids. Later on, my sister and her hubby came over and were telling us about the party....About the funniest part when someone dropped the cake.....I was thinking "oh, my goodness, a cake???????CAKES HAVE EGGS!!!!!" Ryan asked who made the cake (cakes CAN be made w/o eggs) and the response was that it was a store-bought one. ALL store-bought cakes have eggs!!!!!!! I was SSOOOOOOO thankful that Heavenly Father KNOWS EVERYTHING and that He helps to protect us even when WE don't know what will happen. I really don't even want to know what would have happened tonight if we had actually made it to the party! Once again, Heavenly Father has helped us and we are indebted to Him! Thank goodness He's around!
