Last week Ryan was using the 220 outlet that we normally
use for our dryer. He had some big machine in the garage that needed 220
instead of 110. I had already washed the diapers for the day; they just needed
to be dried. Ryan finished his work and we hurried to the store (forgetting to
put the diapers in the dryer).
Kate was in her last clean diaper.
When we got home from the store, her diaper was wet. We found a stray disposable sitting around, so we decided to put it on until her cloth ones were dry. We decided to let her wear it until bedtime, which was 2 hours later, that way we wouldn't waste a diaper.
When I went to change her, she kept telling me 'owie diaper'. She had a horrible rash on her bootie. TWO HOURS! Who gets a diaper rash from wearing a disposable diaper for only 2 hours? Kate does! This rash lasted for 3 days. Something must have happened to her body during this past 1 1/2 months to where she can't handle disposables at all anymore.
Now when she sees disposables, she says 'owie baby diaper'.
Never again will I put a disposable on her little tooshie.
