Lately, Jayke has been really into the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan. He has read all 5 Percy Jackson books and all 3 Heroes of Olympus books since Christmas. He is anxiously awaiting a 4th Heroes of Olympus book that he said is supposed to be published this fall.
After Ethan's birthday party (you'll hear more about that later), Jayke decided to make his own sword and scabbard. He is just awesome and so creative. I love his ever-thinking mind!

I just can't believe how fast this man is growing up. I feel as though he was just my little baby such a short time ago. I still remember that first car ride home from the hospital and the hours and hours that I would just watch him sleep. all.day.long. Oh, how I adored that little man! And now he is practically a grown man. Why, he even fits in the car properly without a booster seat now (finally)! My time with him as my little boy is quickly drawing to a close. That is such a bittersweet feeling. How I will miss that little boy and how I look forward to see the man he will become!
