Thursday Ashley and I took Mom clothes shopping. It was so much fun! I love being able to clothes shop without spending my own money. Ashley and Mom met me at the kids' school after I dropped them off for the day and we all piled into my awesome minivan. So awesome that seats fit into walkways, doors open and close by themselves, phones answer over the speakers with a touch on my steering wheel, and Pandora plays through my new phone. ;-) At least Ashley thought my van was awesome. We arrived at the mall just in time to decide what stores to (tentatively) visit and pick up a wheelchair for Mom, who just had major surgery on her knee last week and isn't supposed to be walking as much as she was about to do.
Halfway through our experience, Ashley had to pick up her kids before we frantically visited a few more stores in order to get Mom back to Ashley's in time for an appointment. By the end of the shopping trip, we had two young moms, both with babies in packs (one screaming, obviously hungry and tired, the other quite content and smiley), a wheel-chaired grandma/mom, a double stroller filled with girls, and one girl running to keep up with the rest of the group. We were quite the spectacle, I would have to say. Anyone seeing us together would have to agree that we were impressive and that we were definitely putting on a public show on a large scale. :-)
I had the most fun I've had in a long time. I loved spending time with my sister and mom. Even though my baby was crying and we had more kids in tow than necessary, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! Thanks for the great memories! I love you guys!
